An Island Made for Exploration

Here, nature dictates the rhythm of the day, inviting you to move, explore and enjoy every view that lies before you. The mild Mediterranean climate makes every moment spent outdoors enjoyable, whether it is a leisurely walk through olive groves or a challenging bike tour through the island’s diverse landscapes.

As part of the “Adventure Island” project, trails have been carefully groomed and marked to lead through the most beautiful parts of the interior – from olive fields to panoramic viewpoints with views of the sea and neighbouring islands. Cyclists and hikers now have the opportunity to choose from more than 100 kilometers of trails, each with its own story and theme, while two trail routes offer an additional challenge for those looking for an adrenaline rush.

With a new cycling map and mobile app, every corner of the island is within reach, ready to be discovered at your own pace.

A Place with a Story

Just a short boat ride from Zadar, the island of Ugljan welcomes you with ancient olive groves, warm stone villages, and the scent of sea and pine in the air. Hotel Kali is nestled in the heart of the town of Kali — a place where time slows, tradition thrives, and the Adriatic whispers just outside your window.

Ugljan has been inhabited since Roman times, its hillsides dotted with old fortresses, chapels, and centuries-old dry-stone walls. Kali, the island’s most charming fishing village, has long been known for its deep connection to the sea — generations of fishermen still cast their nets at dawn, just as their ancestors did.

Wander through narrow alleys where lavender blooms in pots, visit sleepy harbors where boats sway with the tide, and feel the quiet soul of a place that has always moved at its own rhythm.
