The new restaurant within the Kali Hotel not only brings back to life the once iconic gathering place, but also strongly revives the rich culinary and cultural tradition of the town. Located directly opposite the church – the heart of many of the most important moments in the lives of the locals – the restaurant respectfully leans on history: it was here that the first restaurant on the island once operated, legendary for its weddings and celebrations that have long been told.
With a capacity of up to 150 guests indoors and 50 guests on the terrace, the restaurant brings to Kali the possibility of organising weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, business meetings and similar special events, and the terrace offers a captivating view of the Zadar canal, which makes the perfect backdrop for all kinds of events – from intimate lunches to large celebrations.
The town of Kali is known for its strong fishing tradition, and this connection with the sea and the local way of life is also felt in the menu. The restaurant’s menu is based on simplicity, but with a clear identity rooted in the Kali tradition. A special place is occupied by dishes that reinterpret local recipe heritage – rustic, yet thoughtful, with an emphasis on sustainability and using every ingredient to the fullest.
